LINKLATER
All Linklaters originated in Orkney and nowhere else, a distinction shared with a number of other Orkney families such as Flett, Hourston, Marwick and Clouston. This makes the job of an armchair genealogist such as myself much simpler than it otherwise might have been. The surname Linklater is associated particularly with Sandwick, Mainland - all grist for the mill.
